OMG!!!!!! NO FRIGGIN' WAY!!!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!
For the VERY FIRST TIME IN MY ADULT LIFE, I have found a pair of blue jeans that fit!!!
BLUE CULT 28 X 33
#1. I'm 5'6", but I guess I'm out of proportion to other women my height since my legs are two inches too long for average length pants and two inches too short for talls. I have spent my ENTIRE LIFE fighting this; I hated back-to-school shopping because I had to try on a hundred pairs of pants, none of which ever fit, and mom or Mema ultimately had to hem for me.
#2. While I like jeans with a low-to-medium rise (I can't stand jeans/pants that come up to my belly button and squeeze me to death when I sit). Fortunately low-to-medium rises are "in" right now. However, I absolutely HATE the "in" styles of jeans that have been available for the last several years. I absolutely do not like flare-legged jeans and I don't even like bootcut jeans (which is the most commonly available style of jean which is stupid considering boots are NOT the most commonly worn women's shoes!).
#3. While I am thin enough to pull off the skinny/cigarette-legged jeans that are the rage this season, those are just not my style.
So... by complete fluke, I ordered size 28 and 30 Blue Cult jeans from Overstock.com (they were out of 29s). I had no idea what size was going to fit and I can return whichever (or both) doesn't fit.
I simply cannot believe the 28s fit--and actually, they have just enough give that a 27 would have fit without me having to hitch them up ever so often.
